We drove an hour to Enniskerry where we stopped at a cute local bakery for breakfast. Super friendly and yummy.
We got to Powerscourt Estate ten minutes before opening and were the first ones there. As we waited a choir group unloaded off the bus and we got to listen to them sing in what the we believed to be Italian
Powerscourt Estate took both of us by surprise. It’s a 14,000 acre property and we got to see the gardens. It had a castle tower, a little lake, statues, a botanical garden, and even a pet cemetery. We walked around the whole area open to the public.
From there we drove 5km to the Powerscourt Waterfall. We were a little confused when we saw the cafe was called “bugs cafe” we hung out and took some picture but when we found out it was a safe haven for giaganic beetles we decided it was time to leave.
More later about glendalohgh and Kilkenny.
Gorgeous waterfall. Wow!
