This castle in Cork Co. is a very popular tourist attraction - mainly due to the Blarney Stone that sits at the very top. Tradition says that if you kiss the stone you will be granted the gift of eloquence. Oh yeah, one more thing - to kiss the stone you have to hang upside down from the top of the castle! Blue and I both kissed the stone!...but we aren’t sure if it worked because 20min later Blue accidentally sat in poo ;)
This castle was beautiful though. We got there right as it opened, and after kissing the stone we walked the grounds. This property is home to the only posion garden in all of Ireland. We also walked through some mystical gardens, saw 2 waterfalls, and walked down the wishing steps with our eyes closed and backwards.
We beat the rush, and got some great pictures!
